Cliffe Woods Train Walk - 7 June 2009

One of the longer Train Walks this summer, at six miles, this was a fun family day out in the Garden of England, Kent. Everyone enjoyed walking though the fields and watching the wildlife around them. With a little help from volunteer route marshalls, all walkers stayed on track and completed the Train Walk in just under two-and-a-half hours.

Altogether, we raised an estimated £250 by getting sponsored to take part. All our walkers were rewarded with Thomas & Friends sweets from the walk organiser, Trudy Clark, along the way.

Trudy was delighted to see her hard work come together:

"From start to finish I enjoyed every minute of it. It was great to see all the work and organisation I put in come together to touch everyone's lives and raise money for a fantastic cause, the NAS."
